THE CODES

SAAHA CODE OF CONDUCT

All SAAHA members sign an agreement to comply with and to be bound by the SAAHA Code of Conduct. This code sets out the Industry and Trade standards for research, development, manufacturing, production, marketing, handling, warehousing and distribution including importation and/or exportation of animal health products as defined.

CODE OF MARKETING ETHICS

The SA Code of Marketing Ethics for Veterinary Pharmaceuticals aims at promoting and applying marketing practices that are accurate, unambiguous, factual and fair. Furthermore, the objective of this code is to ensure that the marketing of veterinary pharmaceuticals to veterinary and allied professionals and the general public is carried out in a responsible, ethical and professional manner, based on practical and scientifically validated information. It also aims to ensure that marketing activities encourage the rational use of veterinary medicines by veterinary and allied professionals and the general public.
